Every Capsul home arrives fully built and ready for installation. The list below is what's inside the unit when it lands on your site — and what the 10-year warranty covers.
Design in Chicago to your local building code. Build in our ISO-9001 facility with Capsul-employed QC. Deliver the unit fully fitted to your nearest port, then to your site by truck.
The unit arrives with a structural drawing package, installation manual, and Capsul certification in your destination market's code.
Site prep — level the ground, install the foundation we spec. Receive — crane the unit into position. Connect — water, power, waste/septic from your local infrastructure.
Most experienced general contractors complete install in 1–2 days. We supply guidance, but the install is on your contractor's licence and insurance — not ours.
Simple, four steps. The 10-year warranty is honoured by Capsul directly — no factory escalation, no third-party adjuster, no policy fine print.
Take photos and a short description of the issue. Note when you first observed it.
Capsul confirms whether the issue is within scope of the structural warranty and outlines next steps.
In-scope claims are remedied at Capsul's cost — either parts shipped, replacement components, or a local contractor reimbursed against agreed quote.
The 10-year structural warranty covers manufacturing defects, structural integrity, and the weatherproof envelope of the Capsul unit as delivered. It does not cover:
HVAC is specified by the buyer and installed by a local contractor. It's not supplied by Capsul and is not within the structural warranty. HVAC manufacturer's warranty applies to the unit; installation warranty applies through your contractor.
The crane, seating, foundation, and service connections are performed by your local installer or general contractor under their licence and insurance. Damage caused during install — including improper levelling, incorrect service connection, or non-compliance with our installation manual — is excluded from the structural warranty.
Unauthorised structural modifications, cutting or welding to the steel frame, alterations to the weatherproof envelope, or any work performed by a non-licensed contractor void the structural warranty for the affected area.
Surface finishes, cosmetic items, sealants reaching end of service life, and consumable components are subject to normal wear and not covered as structural warranty items.
Earthquake exceeding the design seismic class, flooding exceeding the design flood class, fire, vandalism, and other external events are excluded. Buildings-insurance scope applies. Capsul certifies the unit to your local code's design events — anything beyond that is insurable risk, not warranty risk.
Capsul does not supply furniture. Personal property within the unit is the buyer's responsibility and is not within the structural warranty.
The 10-year warranty transfers with the unit to subsequent owners for the remainder of the term, provided Capsul is notified in writing of the transfer within 30 days of completion.
This warranty is in addition to — not in place of — statutory consumer rights in your jurisdiction. Local consumer-protection laws (UK Consumer Rights Act, Australian Consumer Law, US state consumer protection, EU Consumer Sales Directive, etc.) apply in full and override anything in this document that would reduce them.
